Once the machine is running and converts power to household AC, an internal module recharges the batteries. With regular use, it can maintain functionality, but if unused for over a year, an external charger can recharge the startup batteries.

A4: When plugged in, this discharge process is based on the basic charging principle. For example, if the car is charged to 100%, discharge won’t work, similar to how charging doesn’t continue when the battery is full. Therefore, discharge can be used when the battery is between 20% and 95%, with the Tesla display automatically showing usage time and available energy.
